You can Never Have too Many Guitars
At Twinwood Guitars I started manufacturing in 2018, providing custom made guitars to a high standard, The manufacturing process is similar to the many of the manufacturers of flat top guitars but with our unique innovation and design, note the scalloped feature found on all our latest guitars.
The name 'Twinwood' is derived from the fact that the two halves of soundboards and backs on all acoustic guitars are bookmatched together and the grain on one side is a reflection of the other. The name also comes from Twinwoods where I once played as a child. There is also a historic connection, Glenn Miller was stationed at RAF twinwood during WWII.
The latest guitar seen above features a cross-over design between an Archtop and a flat top guitar, developed by us over a number of years. The body design is unique to twinwood guitars that no other guitar manufacturer has matched. Take a look at the construction page to see just how different they are to regular Flat top Guitars.
Every process is carried out by me, having developed my skills in all aspects of construction and design, I am very passionate about my work and I have aquired a deep understanding of handmade guitars. From their design, their feel, coupled with manufacturing quality, attention to detail and their great sound.
These are a few of the many reasons why you need more guitars in your life - especially one so unique from Twinwood Guitars.
The guitar features a curved body, The sides are thinner at the lower bout to allow more comfort for the player and to eliminate the need for a scratchplate, integrated with a slightly higher bridge.
